What Do I Need To Become a Friendly Visiting Program Volunteer?

TRAINING:

Prior to placement in the Friendly Visiting Program, potential volunteers are required to completed a screening and orientation process, as well as program related training. All training is delivered by the local Alzheimer Society and is designed to help you to feel well prepared to provide this valuable support. Volunteers will be asked to attend periodic information sharing sessions to ensure that their skills and knowledge remains current.
